Aloha and welcome to the West Maui Book Club, one of Maui's longest running, reader-discussion groups since 2005.
Our club is made up of a diverse and talented group of seasonal and full-time resident women who love to read literary fiction and nonfiction and share their thoughts over dinner. To date, our club is over 60 members strong!
Our discussions are held once every 6 – 8 weeks at an area restaurant that offers a private dining area or section where we can really enjoy ourselves. However, when there are only a few of us on the island at any one time, we will occasionally meet at a member's home and bring along our favorite pupus and drinks to create a nice "mix plate" evening.
Please feel free to peruse our website, our title list and any related discussion questions if they are posted. Feel free, as well, to send us your insights that could improve or open lines of communication between your book club and ours. Lastly, enjoy our "BOOK IT!" section where you will find personal recommendations to our island's restaurants, activities and whatever else our members wish to inform you of or write about.
Our hope is that our site excites you as much as it does us and that you will want to connect with us -- be it through an introduction to the literary novel you have written, a desire to participate in a discussion while visiting our island, a wish to sign up your book club as a WMBC Ohana Book Club member, or because you simply want to write us and give us your recommendations.
