Leoda’s Really is Open for business!

Leoda’s kitchen and Pie Shop in Olowalu where Chez Paul once existed, is open for business. Hours are 10 AM – 8 PM and they serve quite a bit of interesting sandwiches, salads, burgers and of course pies!

We enjoyed a 3″ yuzu-lemon tart consisting of just the right tartness and just the right crust that we’re sure it will become a buyer’s favorite. We also bought a loaf of multi-grain homemmade bread that we swear had a hint of added honey.

Leoda’s pies come in 3″ and 5″ sizes. There are also handheld pies of “Savory Mushroom”, “Sweet Berry” and even apple, corn and surprisingly carnitas.

Operated by the good folks of the Old Laahina Luau, Aloha Mixed Plate and Star Noodle, Leoda’s Hitchen and Pie Shop sure looks like another local home run. So stop by on the way back from your next Kahului run and give Leoda’s a try!

I’ve been there a couple of times now and you’ve just got to try Leoda’s Avocado and Cucumber Sandwich with provolone on whole grain! Big enough to share and almost too big to get your top and bottom teeth around. Their french fries are spectacular and Gary said his patty melt was divine.

Previously I had a bite of their Yuzu-Lemon Tart… I still recall it with great vividness… It had just the right tingle in all the right places. The filling was thick enough to be oh so creamy yet squishy making the shortbread crust all that much more sweet. Just yummmmy.

On my next visit, I plan to indulge in the fried salad with brussels sprouts.
