“HI”, I said.
“Hi,” he said.
“I was reading your t-shirt, ” I offered and pointed to the bright, red and singled-worded Hawaiian souvenir he was wearing.
“Isn’t it nice to be visiting a place that is actually a greeting?” I asked.
“I guess,” he answered with a giggle.
“And where are you from?” I inquired.
“Well,” he said as he gave it some thought, “I’m from OH!”
Gotta love an astute 10 year old…
